Fun Dip Anyone??

This picture was taken a few weeks ago when Kerri and Aaron were here. Yes, that is Mamaw holding Aaron in the background while the three "Amigos" show off their green fun dip.
I haven't had much to put on this week as my computer crashed at work and I have spent the whole week trying to re-create all my addresses and favorites. It was worse than losing my purse with all my credit cards!! I use the computer for everything I do at work and have many websites and passwords that I use all day long and I lost everything!! It really goes to show how much we depend on computers now. It also made me know that I need to get busy and download my pictures here at home on a CD. I have a few of them, but not the last few months so I need to do that. (Stacie, this hint is for you)
We did go to Jacob's basketball game this afternoon and his team won the lower bracket Championship. They won five games in a row. Way to go Jacob!! We were really impressed with how much these kids have improved since the first of the season. We will have March Madness next month which should be a lot of fun and then we have baseball season. (Baseball is my favorite to go and watch, I love being outside at the ball park and with both Jacob and Joel having about 25 games each,I should have a ball!!) What will I do next year when Eli plays? I thing Papaw and I should buy a RV and just camp out at the ball park!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELI

Eli is 4 today! We had a fun birthday party last night. Here he is getting ready to blow out his candle while his best friend Lindsay look on. Eli likes to play his game boy, play with his brothers and he really likes getting to stay home with Mommy while his brothers are at school. Four years ago when he was born we had a huge snowstorm so it was no surprise that it snowed this year too. In spite of the snow, just about everyone made it to the party.

Here we have Matthew, Jacob and Joel. Believe me, these three can find more things to get into than anyone I have ever seen.

Tim took Eli for a little ride. Eli's grandma "Nan" is enjoying her oldest grandson and her next to the youngest. (She has me beat, she has 9 grandkids, 7 boys and 2 girls)

More of Eli's friends. Bryce and Allison were here for the party. (they came from Pittsburgh)Their Dad and Mom (Chip and Linda) were friends with Kevin and Kelli when they were all in the Air Force together in Texas. (I heard some stories last night, I hadn't heard before and they were quite interesting)
When the party started winding down, I got this picture of Eli and Lindsay. They were watching their favorite video "Max and Ruby". Yes, that is Snoopy on Eli's head. Snoopy goes everywhere with Eli and I think he enjoyed the party too!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Happy first Valentine's day to Aaron and his big brother Danny. Aaron is looking in the mailbox everyday for something from Papaw and Mamaw. We miss you two and are ready for you to make a road trip to West Virginia. (better wait until it warms up a bit and quits snowing!)

Happy Valentine's day to Jacob and Joel. This was taken at the Pelican game we went to at Myrtle Beach. I wanted to put in some summer pictures so we can start thinking "Spring".

Happy Valentine's day to Eli. He is here with Garfield at Kennywood Park.
Who knew that after all these years I would be married to the best looking "Papaw" around. He still has the best looking legs at the beach!!

Happy Valentines' day Allen. (Where are you taking me on vacation this year??) Love, Marlene (Isn't this better than a card?)

Now to the rest of my crew, Kelli and Kevin, Kerri and Brian, Jeff and Stacie, - Happy Valentine's day and remember "guys", nothing says I love you any better than "Chocolate".

Watching the Clock

One day last week we were at Kelli's house and Kevin told Eli he could play his gameboy at 7:30. Eli pulled him up a stool and watched the clock. He kept us informed of the time... 7:13, 7:14, 7:15, etc... We tried to convince him that it time would go faster if he was busy doing something else, but he didn't want to miss his 7:30 "kick-off". Earlier in the evening we had a discussion about how old everyone was and Eli asked "How old is God". Well, you should have heard all of the adults trying to explain to an "almost" 4 year old how God was, is and always will be. After our feeble attempt, he looked as me and said. "so, God is unlimited." I was stunned that a 4 year old could come up with that. I told him that was a very good description of what God is. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that God is unlimited, in his mercy, love and grace. Sometimes I am amazed at how my young grandsons grasp spiritual truths. I am so glad they are learning these truths at such an early age.

Happy Birthday Brian

Today is Brian's Birthday. I'm not going to say how old he is, but let's just say that he get the prize for the oldest among my children and their significant others. Brian was at Reserves all week-end so he didn't get to do much celebrating, but I think Kerri might have a cake for him when he gets home tonight!
Happy Birthday Brian.!!

It is really cold here today. It was only 8 degrees when I got up this morning, and tomorrow is supposed to be even colder. It's been a while since it has been this cold. We have been keeping a fire in our wood stove.
Right now I am thinking spring will be very welcome.
