Thanksgiving 2006

Thanksgiving 2006 at the Farcin's this year. This picture has everyone in it but Greg ( who was taking the picture). It was so good to see everyone. My kids were all here and my sister Sharlene and my brother Marvin were here Thanksgiving day and my sister Darlene came up on Friday. We had roast turkey, fried turkey and smoked turkey and all the trimmings. Mom got to see all her children in the two days. (and I'm left with a refrigerator full of left-overs!!)

Now we will have roll-call and I will give you a who's who in the family.
My daughter Kelli, husband Kevin, Jacob, Joel and Eli from right here in Fairmont, West Virginia. The Morris's

My daughter Kerri, her husband Brian and Danny from Suffolk, Virginia. The Thumm's

My sister Sharlene, her husband Greg, Lauren and Micah from Beaver Creek, Ohio.(along with an extra (Joel). The Trout's. Nathaniel is in Iraq this holiday. We e-mailed him a picture of everyone and said a special prayer for him that day. Lauren graduates in May 2007 and Micah will start high school next year. (I can't be getting this old!!)

My sister Darlene and her husband Bob from Huntington, West Virginia. The Collier's.

My brother Marvin with his wife Dee Dee and son Shane from Chattanooga, Tennessee. (By the way, Marvin is my "favorite" brother.)
This is the new Mr. and Mrs. Thatcher (Kiera, my sister Darlene's daughter and her husband Tim (on the left hand side) were married in June of this year. They live in Huntington also, where Kiera will graduate from Marshall this December. She is going to teach Math. Her brother Bryon is in the middle. (He is a freshman at Marshall this year) My Mom, Grace Rutherford from Morgantown, West Virginia. Dad always loved Thanksgiving because we always tried to get everyone together for this holiday. We celebrate Christmas at the same time. Dad has been with the Lord 8 years now, but he is in our hearts always.

Happy Veterans Day

This is a special post today for all our friends and family that serve our country in the armed forces. We especially are thinking of my nephew Nathaniel today as he serves in Iraq. (This is a recent picture of him from Tikret.) Our thoughts and prayers are with him every day. Both of my sons-in-law served in the Air Force. Brian is still in the Air Force Reserves. We are proud of all of them and thank them for helping to keep us safe.

This picture is of Nathaniel and Kim right before he left to go to Iraq. He has been there 2 months now and he says the time is going fast. Sargeant Trout is working in satellite technology and dispatcher of Army helicopters.

Halloween with the Morris's

This is Jacob in his "Scary" Halloween outfit at the Morris's Halloween Bash. The Morris side of the family (my daughter Kelli and her husband Kevin and of course Jacob, Joel and Eli) have a big Halloween party every year. They have a pizza party and all the kids go Trick-or-Treating together. There are 9 cousins between the ages of 3 and 13 so they make quite a group going up and down the street. It's a lot of fun and a lot more fun to watch.

Here we have Eli and his cousin Lindsay. Eli says that Lindsay is his cousin and his "friend". Now that Eli's brothers are in school, he doesn't think the day is complete unless he gets to see his "friend".
