Last Saturday Before School Starts

We spent the last Saturday before school started chilling out in the pool and having a cook-out. Jacob and Joel started school on Monday. For some reason, they really weren't ready to go back this year (could it be they were having too much fun this summer??). They made it through the first few days and everyone is getting back into the routine. Eli is enjoying his last year at home with Mom. He is still trying to figure out a way so he doesn't have to go next year!! This summer has just flown by. I can't believe it is almost September. Joel is playing flag football and Jacob is playing fall baseball so as usual the Morris Clan is keeping busy.

Papaw had some help from Joel when he was working on the gutters. Jacob helped too, but I didn't get his picture. (I wonder how long it will be before the boys are big enough to cut grass??)

Here we have a major whirlpool in the works. It's amazing what you can do with just a little bit of water.

Jeff and Stacie's Wedding

Jeff and Stacie were married yesterday. It was an abolutely beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony. Everything was just perfect. It was a fun filled week-end starting with the rehersal dinner on Friday evening. We roasted a pig and some chickens and just had a great time with family and friends. Then on Saturday we had the wedding and reception afterwards. We had good food and fellowship both days. Everyone had such a good time at the reception, we hated to see it end. Jeff and Stacie left Pittsburgh today to fly to Florida and go on their cruise. Then when they get home they will move into their new house that they have been working so hard on to get ready. It really looks great and we will post some pictures for you later. Congratulations Jeff and Stacie. We love you both and are so happy to welcome Stacie into the family.

The Wedding party. Joel was the ring bearer and he did an excellent job!!

Happy Birthday Danny

Tomorrow is Danny's Birthday. He will be 14 years old. He is getting ready to start high school in a couple of weeks. We didn't get to have much of a celebration this week-end with all the wedding events going on, so we promised him an extra special party next year. Happy Birthday Danny, We love you and are praying for you as you start this new school year as a "Freshman".
Aaron is lucky to have you for his "big brother".

Kennywood 2007

Saturday we went to Kennywood Park. Jacob, Joel and Eli were patiently waiting for their tickets so we could get in the park. Allen and I went so we could take Eli to Kiddieland while the older boys rode the bigger rides. We had a beautiful day and it was very "hot". I can remember when we took our kids there. We spent the whole day running from ride to ride to see how much we could do in one day. Well, Papaw and Mamaw did their share of running on Saturday , but we were going from bench to bench, trying to find a place in the shade where we could sit and watch the kids ride and not have to stand in the sun!! My, how times have changed.

This was one of Eli's favorite rides. He figured out how to pull on the stick and go really high. He called this the "Snoopy" ride after his Webkinz/

Joel was making sure they were buckled in correctly.
They were pretty high on this ride.
I put this picture in here just to show you that Grandparents will do just about anything for their Grandkids. Papaw rode the Merry-go-round so Eli wouldn't have to ride by himself. Of course, I just had to take a picture. I actually rode the miniature tilt-a-whirl with Eli and thank goodness Allen didn't have the camera, because it was a pretty tight fit!!
Eli kept looking back because Papaw kept telling him he was catching up with him!!

Litchfield Beach 2007 - Part III

Ok, I know I am running this Litchfield Beach vacation into the ground, but other than our trip there, it has been a pretty quiet summer. So I am going to post these final pictures of the beach and then I will move on to something else. (probably Jeff and Stacie's wedding - which is next week!!)

Joel told me he was making a "commercial" in this picture.

Eli stayed pretty close to Mamaw and Papaw under the canopy because that is where the snackes were.
