Kerri and Aaron Going Home

Kerri and Aaron went home yesterday. On Wednesday they went to Pa to visit Aaron's other grandparents. The plan was to go home on Friday, but the weather was bad so they stayed another day. On Saturday they started out and met me in Morgantown so I could give Kerri some things she left and my house and it was pouring down the snow, so they decided to come to my house and try again on Sunday, They left at 8:00 Sunday and got home about 3:30. It was sunny and the roads were clear all the way. I am glad they got to stay another day. Kerri and Aaron were anxious to get home and sleep in their own beds. When they got here on Saturday, Aaron was so excited. I think he thought he was home. I know Brian and Danny were glad to see him. We had a good visit. Aaron got to go to one of Jacob's basketball games, Eli's birthday party, Eli's soccer games and see a lot of family. Hurry back Aaron, Mamaw and Papaw miss you!!

Here, my two littlest grandsons are having a snack. Aaron was having a hard time keeping the "goldfish" in the cup.

Happy Birthday Eli

Today Eli is 5 years old!! He had a party last night with all his cousins. Eli has mixed emotions about his birthday. He wants to be 5 so he can get a Nintendo DS (and quit borrowing his brother's), play soccer and t-ball, but he doesn't want to go to school next year. He really enjoys being home with his Mom (or on the road every day with his Mom). He does want to learn to read, so we are sure that by September he will be ready to make the big step and race right into Kindergarten. He had a soccer cookie cake trimmed in yellow (his favorite color)

Eli with his best friend Lindsay opening presents. Jacob and Joel and their cousin Evan are looking on. Don't you think Evan looks like he could be their brother. Eli and Lindsey playing with the new drums. (These came from Kevin's sister, "Aunt Tonya". I asked what she was getting even with Kevin for and she just grinned.
Aaron and Aunt Kerri came in for the week-end. He was playing with the "big boys" on Saturday and having a blast when this happened. He fell and got this big bruise on his cheek. He looks like he has been in a fight. Everyone felt so bad, but he didn't cry very long so I am hoping it looks a lot worse than it really is.

Happy Birthday Brian

It seems like someone in this family is always having a birthday and yesterday was Brian's. Sorry we didn't get to celebrate with him, but I hear Kerri fixed his favorite cake. Once again I am not saying how old he is, but next year will be a "really" big birthday. This is a good picture of Brian in his "favorite" chair. (He'll be spending more time in this chair after his birthday next year!) Happy Birthday Brian. We love and miss you. (If you come and visit and bring Aaron and the rest of the crew, I'll make meatballs for you).
