Fall Ball 2007

Jacob, Joel and Eli have kept pretty busy this fall with their ball games. There are no "Couch Potatoes" in this family. We have a lot of fun going to their games, but I have to say it is getting harder and harder to keep up with them. Eli got to play soccer this year for the first time. He really had a good time. He liked having a shirt and being on a team . We had some beautiful weather this year and it was nice and warm. We can't wait until spring when Eli will get to play t-ball.
Eli going for a "goal".
Jacob and Joel played on the same fall ball baseball team. They had a good time playing on the same team for the first time. Fall ball was a lot more relaxed. The coaches let the boys play a lot of different positions. Joel was the youngest on the team, but he kept right up there with the "guys". Jacob got to pitch and he loved that. At one game, Jacob pitched and Joel was the catcher. (I have to say I like going to the baseball games the best. There is just something about sitting out in the field watching the boys play that I really like)

Jacob in the dug-out. (if you look real close you can see Jacob's new contacts.) He loves them!!

New Pictures of Philip - My Great Nephew

I got new pictures of Philip today and I thought the family would like to see them. He is about 4 -5 weeks old in this picture. I don't know about you, but I see "Grandpa Bob". He sure is getting cute. (I'm talking about Philip, not Bob!) I'd love to see this little guy. I know he is dying to see his "Aunt Marlene".

Philip doesn't look very happy after his bath, but Kiera looks like she is really having a good time being a Mother!!

Phil and Barb are Married!!!

The mystery of the missing couple is solved and the Farcin family can move on to celebrating!! It seems that while we were planning a birthday party and trying to find Phil and Barbara they were on their way to Niagara Falls to get married. We all had our suspicions when we got an invitation to go to an "open house" , but it was a very well kept secret. We are happy to welcome Barb "officially" into the family. (I find it hard to believe she didn't have second thoughts as well as she knows all of us). Congratulations to the happy couple!!

We had a beautiful evening for the party and the kids played a game of football. (big kids and little kids)
Eli gave us the official "touchdown" call.
Uncle Joe and Aunt Sandra at the party.
Aaron and Grandma Farcin. ("Can you believe Phil and Barb are married?)

Happy Birthday Joyce

I still can't believe Joyce thought we were going to let this birthday slide by without us bringing it to everyone's attention that she was hitting the big 5-0 this year. We surprised her with a party last night and of course this made for good blog material. She really was not expecting this which made it all the more fun.(she almost didn't get a party because I thought the big year was next year. ) This has been a busy week. Usually I am looking for something to put on my blog and this week I had Allen's birthday, Nathaniel coming home from Iraq, Joyce's birthday and tomorrow Kerri and Aaron will be here and Phil and Barb are having an open house on Sunday.( I'm sure I will have more on that later!!) On top of all of that I had to work all week. I tell you what, my job is seriously interfering with my personal life.

Jeff couldn't wait to give Aunt Joyce a big birthday kiss!!
What party would be complete without these three. We just wish Danny and Aaron could be here too!!
The other 3 kids at the party, Christopher (Janna had school) and the newlyweds- Jeff and Stacie.

NATHANIEL IS HOME!!!

We are rejoicing today because Monday Nathaniel made it safely home from Iraq. I want to thank all of you that prayed for him. We are so thankful that the Lord brought him home safe and sound. We are so proud of him and the sacrifices he has made for all of us. I know my sister Sharlene and the whole Trout family are still celebrating. The picture you see now is Nathaniel sitting on Sadam Hussain's throne in Baghdad. You can see more pictures of the Homecoming on Sharlene's blog. Just click on the link on the right-hand side. Nathaniel and Kim will be getting married next April, but I'm sure we will see him before then. We love you Nathaniel and are so glad you are home!!
