Happy New Year!!

Yes I know this is a late "Happy New Year and yes I know I have neglected my blog lately. Facebook is just so adictive, but I am seriously going to do better for the two or three people that look at my blog. We had a wonderful Christmas with lots of family, food and fun. The Morris's got moved into their new house and are now working on getting settled in. ( I will post some pictures of the house soon). Aaron and Jeff both celebrated their January birthdays (pictures will follow soon). I came through my eye surgery in November with flying colors. I am just waiting for everything to completely heal to get new glasses. Allen is extremely busy at work already and we have already had enough snow this year for me!! That is pretty much what has been going on here. I will work on getting some more pictures on here soon (I promise!!)

Lauren's Wedding

August 29, we traveled to Ohio for my niece Lauren and Dan's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a really good time with family and friends. I took a lot of pictures and if you click on the link at the bottom you can see all of them. (It is so much easier to upload them on facebook).

Here is Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hergenrather.

The cupcake cake was so pretty.

The Trout family!!

I loved Lauren's necklace. She reminds me so much of her mother at this age.

Check out all my pictures here:

I'm finally getting my vacation pictures up. I know it's been 3 weeks, but everyone has been so busy. The kids are back in school , we went to Lauren's wedding (pictures will follow of this) and everyone is back to work. We had a very nice vacation this year. The weather was beautiful and we even had access to a swimming pool. The kids loved it and most of the time we were the only ones there. I'm only putting up this one picture, but if you follow the link at the end of this post, it will take you to my Facebook where you can see all the pictures: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2036807&id=1185750501&l=7303309c4f

Brothers and Sisters

Allen's sister Shirley and her husband Charles came in from Baltimore and we had a get together at Joe and Sandra's. We had a lot of good food and quite a lot of fun and laughter. It's always good to get together and see everyone, we just don't seem to do it enough.

I thought this was a very good picture of the brothers and sisters. Phil, Joe, Allen, Shirley and Joyce.

Of course, the one of the brothers and sisters and their good looking spouses is even better!!

Jonathan, Stacie and Jeff joined in the fun.

Joyce made someone a 50th Birthday cake!! (Kim)

Adam was unimpressed with the festivities.

Of course no party is complete without these 4!!

Adam Joseph Morris

Adam Joseph made his grand entrance today at 12:04 p.m. weighing in at 8 lbs. 4 oz. and 21 inches long. Mom and Baby are doing great. He is absolutely beautiful and Jacob, Joel and Eli are very proud big brothers. We are so thankful for this healthy baby boy. I think his hair is a little darker than his brothers , but we will have to wait and see. The boys were so excited they didn't want to leave the hospital today, but we are going back this evening.

Eli's Kindergarten Graduation

Last night Eli graduated from Morgantown Christian Academy's Kindergarten. The class put on a program and did a wonderful job. Eli had a very good year. He is reading now and won first place in the Spelling Bee and 2nd place in Bible. He also won the Christian Character award for his class. Joel won in his class so Papaw and Mamaw certainly had a lot to be proud of last night. Eli is done with school now, but Jacob and Joel still have 3 weeks left. Eli doesn't mind reminding them of that. Eli's class performed the play - Stone Soup. It was so cute. Eli was the stranger that came into town and made the soup. It's hard to believe this school year is over and Eli will be in the first grade next year

Here is Eli in costume for the play.
More pictures of the play.

Aaron and Kerri came down for the program. Aaron was really impressed with Eli's graduation outfit.

Kerri's new hair cut. It is so nice that the Thumm's are so close now. They get to come to all the family activities and we can run up and get Aaron. I do not miss the 8 hour trip to Virginia at all!!

Eli, Silas and Lauren right before the program. They were not in the least bit nervous. Eli looked a little scared when the program first started (there were a lot of people there), but he soon got over his stage fright and I think by the end he was really having a good time.

Jacob was there supporting his brothers. It doesn't seem that long ago he was graduating from Kindergarten.

They gave out elementary school awards too. Joel won several awards including the softball throw, the long jump and the 50 yard dash. Joel loves to compete!!

I have to get pictures of Joel when I can. He has become camera shy lately.

The graduating class getting pictures taken by parents (and grandparents)

The class with their teacher Mrs. Hinebaugh - Lauren, Ashley, Gracie, Silas and Eli.
Kelli is hanging in there with 5 weeks to go. (no pictures, she threatened me with loss of grandchildren priviliges if I did). She is feeling good, but getting to that last very uncomfortable stage. Her belly is sticking out pretty good. We'll keep everyone posted!!
