Allen goes to Cananda - Part I

Allen went on his annual Canada trip last week and I have him taking pictures for me now. Believe me when I say there is no way I would want to go on this trip. This picture was taken right before they left. If they were walking around for very long they would have to be covered up and use bug spray because the black flies are terrible. Allen has bites all over him. There were 10 of them that went. The boy holding the flag in this picture lives at the campground. 6 of the guys shot bears. Allen doesn't bear hunt but he caught a lot of fish (pictures of them later).

One of the bears that didn't make it!! Allen brought home some bear meat. It's in my freezer. Let me know when you can come and visit and we will have a "bear roast".

I thought my family might like to see that there is a Rutherford Road in Canada.

Allen outside of the Cabella's in Ontario.
This bear was killed with a bow and arrow. This is some of the campground where they stay.
The lake at the campground
Stay tuned for Part II. I will post the fishing pictures.

The scenery looks absolutely beautiful. Just curious, does bear meat taste like chicken:)

Hey Marlene - Canada pics looks good. We went there with two vans of teens when we ministered in Davison, MI. It was great.

How are you doing? Will we be seeing you around July at the CCS reunion? Hope so!
Love ya,

Allen is quite the traveler. I've always had a desire to visit Canada but I was thinking more of the "Falls" and not bears. The pictures were great... and you must post how the bear tastes. --Beverly
